A teacher's legacy

Have you ever pondered on the question what your legacy is?

I believe mine is to make a positive difference in my students' lives, touch their soul and guide them to find themselves.

I remember a couple of years ago I was fretting about "not being successful". At that time I still believed I was unworthy and was struggling to find my happiness. Then my husband turned to me and said:

"Your success comes from all the students whose lives you've changed through your lessons, your kindness, and your thoughtfulness."

Admittedly, I was in a dark place back then so I didn't believe him. No, I didn't allow myself to believe him.

But now after having worked on growing my mindset and boosting my levels of happiness, I see a different picture.

* I see my students' love and respect every time I teach them. * I see how their confidence and self-belief are boosted after an empowering lesson. * I see grateful students who come on holiday to England to see their favourite English teacher. * I see their sincere appreciation and I know that the tears in our eyes when we say "Goodbye" are tears of happiness and deep gratitude.

I am truly grateful to be able to meet three of my Chinese students in Oxford last weekend.

So today I celebrate my life path *To be authentic, *To shine *And empower
